The Andhra Pradesh government has launched a WhatsApp-based service called ‘Mana Mitra – Government in People’s Hands’ to make citizen services more accessible. Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated the initiative at his residence in Undavalli. Using WhatsApp number 95523 00009, residents can now request services, access government-issued certificates, and get important updates without visiting government offices.
Initially, 161 services are available across departments like RTC, Revenue, Municipal Administration, Energy, and Endowments. Citizens can receive weather updates, flood alerts, healthcare information, and details about infrastructure projects. They can also obtain trade licenses, land records, and pay property taxes or electricity bills online.
To submit a request or grievance, users simply send a message to the WhatsApp number. They’ll receive a link to fill in their details, and a reference number will be provided for tracking their request.
