TGPSC Group 4 Backlog Posts: Many Vacancies Likely to Remain Unfilled

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has recently announced the final results for the Group-4 exam. However, there are concerns that a large number of posts, possibly over a thousand, will remain unfilled, leading to a backlog. This situation has caused worry among candidates, as many believe that these vacancies might carry over due to the government’s recent decision.

Candidates are upset because they fear the introduction of the ‘unwilling’ option in the selection process could result in these positions being left vacant. Some candidates feel that if they choose this option, the vacancies will not be filled and could be added to the backlog, making it harder for unemployed individuals to find jobs.

Previously, the government allowed candidates to re-link their preferences for jobs, giving them a chance to reconsider their decisions. But now, this option has been suddenly removed, which has frustrated many candidates. They are asking for the unwilling option to be reintroduced to make the process fairer for everyone.

The final results for Group-4 were announced on Thursday, with results declared for 8,084 of the 8,180 available positions. However, many of the successful candidates are already employed in other government jobs, such as teachers or constables. These candidates had hoped to switch to better positions through Group-4, but reports suggest that many of them may not accept the offered jobs, leaving those vacancies unfilled.

This situation raises concerns that a large number of Group-4 vacancies could remain vacant, affecting both the candidates and the job market in the state.
