The scheme offers over 80,000 internships across 24 diverse sectors, with top companies like Mahindra & Mahindra, L&T, Tata Group, and Jubilant FoodWorks participating. Key sectors include:

- Financial Services
- Oil & Energy
- FMCG
- Manufacturing
- Travel & Hospitality
Additionally, major companies like Adani Group, Coca-Cola, Eicher, Deloitte, Mahindra Group, Maruti Suzuki, PepsiCo, HDFC, Wipro, ICICI, Hindustan Unilever, Samsung, and Hewlett Packard are among the 500 firms involved in this initiative.
Stipend Details
Interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000. This amount includes Rs 500 contributed by the host company through CSR funds, with the remaining Rs 4,500 provided by the government.
Reservation Policies
The scheme adheres to reservation policies for SC (Scheduled Castes), ST (Scheduled Tribes), and OBC (Other Backward Classes) categories.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the PM Internship Scheme 2024, candidates must:
- Have a minimum educational qualification of High School, Higher Secondary School, ITI Certificate, Polytechnic Diploma, or a Bachelor’s degree (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc.).
- Be between 21 and 24 years old as of the application’s final submission date.
- Be of Indian nationality.
- Not be employed full-time or engaged in full-time education.
- Be eligible if enrolled in online or distance learning programs.
