Production may begin at Honda’s Karnataka facility next month, with bookings likely to open in February 2025 and deliveries to follow soon. As Honda enters India’s electric scooter market, it aims to capture over 15% growth in FY25. The Activa-based EV, codenamed K4BA, will feature locally sourced motors and batteries, with options for fixed and swappable batteries. This move places Honda in direct competition with market leader Ola Electric as it targets practicality and affordability in India’s expanding EV market.
