About the Free Gas Cylinder Scheme
The Free Gas Cylinder Scheme was launched as a welfare initiative by the state government to provide eligible households with three free gas cylinders each year. As a special Diwali gift, the Andhra Pradesh government launched this scheme on October 31, with booking available from October 29.
Eligibility for Free Gas Cylinders
To qualify for this scheme, you must meet these requirements:
- Own an LPG gas connection.
- Have a White Ration Card.
- Hold an Aadhaar card linked to a bank account.
Important Details about Free Gas Cylinders
- Minister Nadendla Manohar announced that those with Aadhaar, White Ration Cards, and a gas connection can start booking from October 29.
- Upon booking, beneficiaries will receive a confirmation SMS from the government.
- Delivery time is 24 hours for urban areas and 48 hours for rural areas.
- Within 48 hours after delivery, the subsidy amount will be deposited into the bank accounts of the recipients.
Steps to Book Free Gas in Andhra Pradesh
To book your free gas cylinder, follow these steps:
- You can give a missed call to the designated number of your gas agency to book the cylinder, just like in previous methods.
- Booking is also available via the oil company’s official app.
- For users with linked Aadhaar, Ration Cards, and bank accounts, the subsidy will be automatically deposited after booking.
- A confirmation message will be sent to the registered mobile number once the booking is complete.
- After paying upon delivery, the refund amount will be deposited within 48 hours into your bank account.
Number of Free Gas Cylinders Provided Annually
Eligible beneficiaries can avail themselves of three free gas cylinders per year as follows:
- The first cylinder can be claimed between today and March 31.
- The second cylinder is available between March 31 and July 31.
- The third cylinder can be obtained from July 31 to November 30.
